Information Au Relais du Bois
===
===**Au Relais du Bois**
It is a beautiful red house leaning against the west of the great forest
of Haguenau. The large, bright and
comfortable ground floor room immediately makes you want to get down to business.
At the stove, Franck Labbé, one of the family's sons, cooks you
a nice traditional French cuisine enhanced with a few
Alsatian touches: horseradish spices up the grilled salmon, the sauces are
enhanced with Pinot noir or Riesling, saffron - from Alsace - colors
the duck foie gras... In autumn, we enjoy the marcassin from the
neighbouring woods and in summer we fall for the pink Pinot gris de Gertwiller,
discovered by Steve, the other son, served under the parasols on the terrace. The
weekly menu, laid out at the table, changes weekly,
while on weekends, one chooses directly from the menu among three
entries, three courses and some desserts. Le Relais is ideal before - or
after - a nice walk in the forest.
